Combine groups, temporarily.

Merging is what makes Cohort different. Two groups can combine into one shared space with its own chat and events, for a set amount of time — built for the moments two groups want to do something together without permanently absorbing into each other.

  1. 1

    Propose a merge

Any group can send a merge request to another group, with a proposed length of time attached.

  2. 2

    The other group accepts

Once accepted, both groups' members can see and take part in the merged space.

  3. 3

    Shared chat and events

The merge gets its own group chat and can host its own events, kept separate from each group's regular chat.

  4. 4

    It expires on its own

When the merge window ends, the groups split back apart automatically — no cleanup required on either side.
